Fairbanks Pollen Count

Updated: Wednesday, June 17, 2026

For the second day in a row, our major spring trees are keeping their heads down. Spruce nudged up just a tiny bit from Tuesday's 43 to 49, keeping it safely in the moderate zone. Everything else remains at trace, low levels.

Today’s Official Counts (June 17, 2026):

Spruce (Picea): 49 (Moderate) – Holding steady in the double digits. The massive yellow dust clouds are officially behind us for the season.
Birch (Betula): 3 (Low)
Alder (Alnus): 2 (Low) – Total relief for tree-allergy sufferers.
Juniper (Juniperus): 1 (Low)
Chokecherry / Bird Cherry (Prunus): 1 (Low)

Sedge (Cyperaceae): 3 (Low)
Grass (Poaceae): 2 (Low) – The summer ground-covers are ticking along quietly.

Mold* Spores: 829 (Low) – Climbing back up closer to the 1,000 mark as warm daytime temperatures act on damp soils.
