Week 14!

Greetings!

Just two weeks remain. Two weeks – that’s all that stands between you and a future full of possibility, purpose and new beginnings. Take a moment to appreciate how far you’ve come. Every challenge you’ve faced, every late night you’ve powered through, every moment you doubted yourself and kept going anyway – it has all led you here.

Yes, it’s normal to feel pressure right now. It means you care. It means you’ve invested in something meaningful. Let that pressure fuel you, not stop you. It’s a sign of your growth, your resilience and your readiness for what comes next.

Think back on the journey – those long study sessions, the friendships built through group projects, the small victories that turned into major accomplishments. You didn’t just make it through – you grew. And that growth is something no exam or deadline can measure.

As these final weeks unfold, don’t rush past them. Be present. Laugh with your classmates. Celebrate the milestones – big and small. Reflect on the knowledge you’ve gained and the person you’ve become.

The future isn’t something to fear – it’s something you’re prepared for. You have the tools, the strength and the courage to shape it. Step forward with confidence. Stay curious. Be bold in your ambitions, kind in your actions and fearless in your dreams.

Things to know and do:Ìý

From the i’Mpossible Project, 3v3 Bowling Tournament, The SpringFest BBQ, Live Music featuring Act of Congress, Student Showcase, Party in the Patty, Campus Clean-up and the SpringFest Field Day – this is your time to unwind, connect and enjoy the community you’ve been part of. Make memories that will last far beyond graduation. There are so many things to do, watch or participate in. Events start Thursday, April 17, and run through Saturday, April 19.

Take care of yourself:
You’re in the final stretch of a long and demanding journey. Now more than ever, your well-being matters. Rest when you can. Step outside. Move your body. Breathe. And check in on those around you – sometimes the strongest thing you can do is support one another.

You are closer than you think. You are stronger than you know. And you are absolutely capable of finishing what you started.

As always, if there is something we can do better, email me at obguthrie@alaska.edu.
