UAF Celebrates Native American Heritage Month

Native American Heritage Month honors the rich cultures and vital contributions of Alaska Native, Native American, and Native Hawaiian peoples. It's a time to celebrate our resilience, wisdom, and enduring strength.

Here are just a few things happening in and around our Troth Yeddha' campus and across our communities:

November 2025

Indigenous Art Show:
All month in the RSS Gathering Room, Brooks Building in Fairbanks with First Friday show on November 7.

Wear it Wednesday: Every Wednesday in November, wear your traditional clothing or regalia! Snap a photo, tag @uafindigenous and /rural/partners-outreach/events/WearItWednesday!

Rock Your Mocs:
Participate in the global social media trend celebrating Indigenous heritage by wearing your moccasins and sharing on social media with the hashtags /rural/partners-outreach/events/RockYourMocs & /rural/partners-outreach/events/RockYourMocs2025. This year the event will take place November 9-15.
