Thank you for Volunteering to make a difference in the lives of youth in Alaska!

4-H Youth Development volunteers are valued partners in working with youth and Extension agents. Alaska 4-H is committed to providing safe places and caring adults who build caring relationships with young people.

To ensure these positive environments, Alaska 4-H requires a minimum level of training before certifying volunteers to work with youth.

Your first step in becoming a 4-H Volunteer is download our New Volunteer Checklist to help you through the process. You just start at the top of the checklist with the Volunteer Application for your District and work your way down.

If you are a Returning Volunteer, you can download the Returning Volunteer Checklist and work your way down the list.

After reviewing the training requirements, contact your local Extension office if you have any questions. Not sure which office is closest to you? Contact uaf-alaska4h@alaska.edu for assistance.
