Applications open for Alaska INBRE 2026 FiRE Opportunity

Applications are now open for the 2026 FiRE (Faculty-led, Intensive Research Experience) Opportunity. FiRE provides undergraduate students with an immersive research experience focused on developing research skills, teamwork and scientific inquiry under the guidance of faculty mentors.
Participants engage in structured research activities and training designed to strengthen preparation for graduate school and research-related careers. This opportunity is ideal for students seeking a deeper, hands-on research experience in a collaborative environment.
Eligible students are encouraged to review application requirements carefully and submit all materials by the posted deadline.
