Join Jason Lazarus, assistant professor of photography, for a two-day cyanotype workshop on Nov. 22-23 that supports the UAF art department. Spaces are limited for the workshop, which is scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. each day.

Learn how to easily create art with light-sensitive chemicals safely within your own home. Cyanotype solution can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces, allowing you to create a composition using a range of materials, from your own digital images transformed into analog prints to stencils, cutouts, 3D objects, and even your own body. This course will focus on exploring what can be done on a variety of paper surfaces and then dive further into the creative potential of the process by exploring toning options to drastically alter the color of these handmade prints with household solutions.

Cost: $160
