OMB and PAIR become Office of Strategic Decision Support

The Office of Management and Budget and Planning, Analysis and Institutional Research is now the Office of Strategic Decision Support. The combined department operates under the leadership of Briana Walters, the director of OSDS.
OSDS is part of the vice chancellor for administrative services within the financial and business services division and reports to Associate Vice Chancellor Amanda Wall.
PAIR joined OMB in October 2025, bringing together expertise in budgeting and financial analysis, institutional research, data and analytics, planning and continuous improvement. The new name reflects the combined team’s focus on connecting financial, student, operational and institutional information to support informed decision-making across UAF.
