Presentations scheduled for College of Liberal Arts dean finalists

The ҹɫ¸£Àû has announced three finalists for the position of dean of the College of Liberal Arts. Each candidate will visit campus to participate in a series of public events, including open presentations that will focus on their visions for the college, faculty and staff meet and greets, and student engagement sessions.

The 45-minute public presentations are all scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude with 15 minutes for audience questions. MaryTheresa Seig's presentation is on March 30, followed by Alvin Malesky on March 31 and Carrie Baker on April 7.

The public presentations will be held in the BP Design Theater in the Usibelli building on the Troth Yeddha’ Campus. A light breakfast will be served. The sessions will also be available via livestream and will be recorded. Due to limited seating,  in advance to attend in person.

Additional opportunities to engage with each finalist (on each candidate’s respective campus visit date) include:

  • Faculty and Staff Meet and Greet: 2–3 p.m. (limited to CLA staff/faculty due to limited space)
  • Student Meet and Greet: 3:30–4:30 p.m. (limited to CLA students due to limited space)

Faculty, staff, students and community members are encouraged to participate in the search process by attending presentations, submitting questions and providing feedback. Input from the campus community will play an important role in informing the final selection.

An online survey will be open from March 30 to April 10 to collect feedback on the candidates. Input from both the university and the broader community will support the selection process. Responses must be submitted by April 10.
