UA travel agency transition update

Oct. 8, 2026

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance travel services, the university is transitioning to ITS, Intelligent Travel Services, formerly known as TSI. The anticipated go-live date with ITS is planned for Oct. 21.

The Concur booking tool is expected to be down from 5 a.m. to midday AKST during the site conversion to enable profile syncing. The ability to create and approve Requests or Expense Reports will not be impacted.

Over the coming weeks, the Travel and ITS implementation team will be working closely to ensure a smooth transition. Additional information, including booking procedures and traveler resources, will be communicated as we approach the go-live date.

Departments should continue to pause travel bookings after November until we transition to ITS.

  • If there is a business need to ticket travel sooner, work with the TCSO to determine the best method to book.
  • Bookings serviced by CTM after Nov. 8 will be subject to a $50 booking fee for each transaction (airfare changes or cancellations, hotel/car reservations, changes or cancellations).

The Travel Customer Service Office staff recognize that many travelers currently have unused airline ticket credits associated with previous travel arrangements. We are actively collaborating with our airline partners and ITS to develop a transition plan that preserves and facilitates the use of eligible ticket credits where possible. More details regarding the management and redemption of these credits will be shared as they become available.

The staff appreciates your patience and support during this transition. Their goal is to minimize disruption while providing enhanced service and travel support for the university community.
