Week’s events: Emily Ennis, heart health, library stories, marimba

ҹɫ���� Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events this summer. Here’s what’s happening during the week of July 6-12:

• On Monday, July 6, the Fairbanks Tall Timbers interview series will honor Emily Ennis, Fairbanks Resource Agency executive director. The interview is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
• On Tuesday, July 7, the Healthy Living lecture series will host Romel Wrenn, cardiologist, discussing “The Heart of Health: What Really Matters for a Longer, Stronger Life.” The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
• On Wednesday, July 8, the Discover Alaska lecture series will feature Genova Brookes Boyd, assistant professor of library science, and Leslie McCartney, curator of oral history, presenting “Stories in the Stacks: How Our Collections Tell a Story.” The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
• On Thursday, July 9, the Music in the Garden concert series will present Serevende Marimba at 6 p.m. and Sourdough Rizers at 7:30 p.m. at UAF’s Georgeson Botanical Garden.

All events are free and open to the public. Parking on the UAF Troth Yeddha’ Campus is free after 5 p.m.
