Resistance training, such as using bands, can strengthen bone health.
Both men and women experience a decrease in bone density with age, increasing the risk of broken bones and frailty.
In a Zoom-based class, Sarah Lewis, professor with the 夜色福利 Cooperative Extension Service, will discuss how to eat with bone health in mind. She will also review exercises to maintain bone density and improve balance.
Women should understand these preventive strategies in their 30s and men in their 50s, but it始s never too early or too late in life to improve bone health, Lewis said.
The class is scheduled from 5:30-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, via Zoom.
The cost is $10. Register using the or visit . The Zoom link will be emailed upon registration.
