Scholarship Available for Skilled Trades and Public Safety Students

Description:The Grainger Tools for Tomorrow® scholarship program helps students across the country who are interested in
careers in the skilled trades, public safety or supply chain realize their educational goals. Outstanding students
who are selected as scholarship recipients are recognized with a 00 scholarship award for tuition, fees,
books and equipment. Scholarship recipients received tools after graduation.

Eligibility Requirements:

Eligible students must be entering their final year of Skilled Trades, Public Safety or Supply Chain studies at
a participating college(includes UAF CTC). Skilled Trades studies include electronic systems, heating/air conditioning, plumbing,
welding, automotive, construction, facilities maintenance or other industrial trades. Public Safety studies include
first responder, law enforcement (city, county, or state), prison guard, firefighter, fire safety, emergency medical
technician, emergency management and disaster preparedness programs. Supply Chain studies include supply
chain management, transportation, distribution or logistics. One-half of the scholarships are earmarked for
students who have honorably separated from the U.S. Armed Forces (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines or
Navy). Candidates must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours, maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale,
submit an application, essay, letter of recommendation along with other materials to the college contact provided.
